Quick start guide

Download & Install

Download the Scribely DMG, drag to Applications, and launch.

Choose Your AI Provider

Cloud (easiest): add your OpenAI API key and optionally Deepgram for transcription — no installation. Or go fully local: install Ollama or LM Studio and use Qwen3. Settings → LLM and Transcription tabs.

Grant Permissions

Allow microphone access and screen recording permissions when prompted.

Install Extension (Optional)

Add the Chrome extension for best audio quality in browser meetings.

Start a Meeting

Press Alt+M or click Start Meeting. Scribely begins transcribing automatically.
